gayle developed a small lump in her right front wrist. biopsy determined it was a soft tissue sarcoma, with amputation feb 17, 2010. she's recovering nicely, taking naps when needed, and enjoying every moment of every wonderful day. in december 2010 we discovered oral melanoma cancer. gayle had two surgeries to remove tumors, but the ugly disease took her from us december 12, 2011. love never ends.

  1. here’s a picture of gayle with her recently modified elbow pad. we had quite a challenge after the amputation, as the elbow was scrapped at the hospital, and got infected. great work by our vet, lots of hydro therapy and antibotics, but it’s all healed up. she developed a seroma, which we had drained this morning. hopefully the elbow patch will help keep her elbow more protected and help it fully heal up. she’s five days into her first chemo treatment hear, and is doing very well (knock on wood).

she is an inspiration, a gift, a perfect sister!!
