bath day…..

today was bath day for me and my older sister jane.  ughhhhhhhhhh how i hate the bathtub and all that shampoo and water…  i like being shiny and clean, but ughhhhhhhhh  the bath is just no fun for me.  just cause i look like mostly lab doesn’t mean this girl likes the water!!!  i need a nap!!!

  1. Oh No, not bath time!! I hate bath time. Like you, people tell me I should like the water because I’m a golden retriever, but I hate it. Gayle, we have so much in common — like our respect for Chief Illiniwek, the fact we both had a soft tissue sarcoma, we hate bath time, we both love nap time – and most importantly, we are tripawds. I think we are sisters from a different mother. Now, go get clean and pretty!! I’m so glad you are doing so good after your surgery.

  2. Hmmm….maybe we’re all triplets??? I got a bath this morning….gawd, baths are REALLY hard on me now…I’m afraid I’m going to slip(even though Mom puts down a mat)…cause when I was at the vet’s after amputation, they gave me a bath and I slipped in their tub and struggled and was soooo scared. And I’m NOT a scaredy cat-er, dog! Baths really suck now being a Tripawd…
    AND I had soft tissue sarcoma too….Hmmmm…I think we ARE triplet’s! We are all soooo different looking though…

  5. Riley must be part of that group. He shakes. He trembles. He tries to run away. He won’t look me in the eye. He likes water, mind you, but just fun-time water like lakes; not baths.

    Catie on the other hand is stoic about the whole procedure. The bath tub doesn’t stress her at all. In fact – although she can’t do it now – the bath tub is where I’ve found her in the past during thunderstorms.

    Both of them like any excuse for a nap though. 🙂

  8. LOL! Schwimmming! You are right Dillon and Rhys. Water-good, but why ruin a perfectly good schwim with the addition of soap? Opie’s mom

  9. You know I read somewhere that dogs only need a bath once or twice a year. Wouldn’t that just be grand if humans took that advice?

    So sorry you got stuck in the water! Seems like a popular day for that. Hope you’re warm and dry now.
